Korashi began with a single question: why should a ritual this beautiful be this hard to find here?
Matcha is not just tea. It is shade-grown for weeks so the leaf fills with sweetness, hand-picked at first harvest, then ground between granite stones so slowly that a single tin takes an hour to mill. The result is a powder the colour of spring, drunk whole rather than steeped, carrying a calm focus that tea masters have prized for a thousand years.
We fell in love with that ceremony far from home, and came back determined to share it. Korashi sources ceremonial-grade matcha and pairs it with honest, handcrafted tools, a bamboo chasen and a stone-glazed chawan, so that anyone, anywhere in Iraq, can whisk a perfect bowl in their own kitchen.
Our name and our mark honour the chasen itself: the humble whisk whose hundred bamboo tines turn powder and water into liquid jade. It stands for the two things we promise in every cup: pure harmony in the ritual, bold energy in the result.
First Harvest
Only spring-picked leaves, when the flavour is sweetest.
Stone Ground
Milled slowly on granite, never heat-blasted in machines.
Small Batch
Sealed tins ground weeks before they reach you. Not years.
Made for Ritual
Every product earns its place in the ceremony. Nothing extra.
